Apple & NFL Announce Jay-Z to Headline 2027 Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show

Apple and the NFL on Monday announced that rapper Jay-Z will be the headliner for the 2027 Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2027, airing on ESPN, ABC and Disney+, and on mobile devices with NFL+.

The announcement was made during the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles Monday Night Football game on ESPN, which has the rights to air the Super Bowl in February.

Super Bowl LXI will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2027, meaning that the game and Jay-Z’s performance will be held on Valentine’s Day. (Honey, we’ll go out to dinner after the game! Or we could order pizza…) In the U.S., the NFL championship game will air on ABC and ESPN, with the Apple Music Halftime Show being held at halftime. It has not been announced who else will perform alongside Jay-Z, although his wife Beyoncé, will certainly be at the top the list of possible performers. Beyoncé headlined the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show and was a special guest for Super Bowl 50..

Apple Music has sponsored the Super Bowl Halftime Show since 2022, when Apple Music replaced Pepsi as the primary halftime show sponsor as part of the multi-year deal. Since then, the halfrime shows have included several performers, including Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, and others.

Jay-Z performed his JAY-Z30 Concert Series at SoFi on Oct. 23-24. The tour has celebrated the 30-year anniversary of his Reasonable Doubt album and the silver anniversary of his The Blueprint album. Special guests during the tour have included Blue Ivy Carter, DJ Khaled, Dr. Dre, John Legend, Too Short, and Snoop Dogg.

Super Bowl LXI will mark the second time the big game has been held at SoFi Stadium. Roc Nation has produced the Super Bowl Halftime Show since partnering with the NFL in 2019. Roc Nation LLC is an American entertainment company founded by Jay-Z in 2008.
