Apple Teases That an ‘Exciting Week’ Is Ahead on Heels of New iPad Mini Announcement

Today, just moments after Apple unveiled a new iPad mini with OLED display, powered by an A20 Pro chip, Apple’s marketing chief Greg Joswiak took to X to tease an “exciting week” ahead.

The new iPad mini is powered by an A20 Pro, and offers improved water and dust resistance. The larger 8.5-inch OLED display (up slightly from the 8.3-inch screen used previously) is available with a nano-texture option, delivering higher contrast, reduced glare, and more than 2x higher peak brightness than the previous-generation iPad mini. The nano-texture display is a $100 upgrade option available for models with 256GB or 512GB of storage only.

Apple is expected to unveil several new products this week. In addiiton to the new iPad Pro unveiled today, we’re also expecting to see a new iMac with an M6 chip, a 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip, and MacBook Pro models with touch-enabled OLED displays.

Apple has invited tech reporters and content creators to a “pro and tell” “experience” on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Pacific Time in Los Angeles, where they should receive hands-on time with all the new toys devices.
