Apple Exec’s ‘Pro and Tell’ Post Hints at New Product Debuts Next Week

Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, Greg Joswiak today posted on X, hinting at new product announcements next week. The social media post in question says “Can’t wait to pro and tell next week.”

As Mactrast reported earlier today, Apple is expected to unveil the new MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen display, an M6 entry-level ‌MacBook Pro‌, an M6 iMac, and an iPad mini with an ‌OLED‌ display.

Apple is expected to announce the new devices on Wednesday, October 28. Selected members of the media have been invited to an “all-day product launch experience” in Los Angeles on on that day that starts at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, so press releases for the new products could follow around that time. As we saw with the HomeView, HomePod mini, and Apple TV 4K unveilings, we are not expecting a standard streamed event, but invited media will get a bit of hands-on time with the Macs and ‌iPad mini‌ that day, and we can expect them to share their first impressions.

Apple is expected to debut redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, featuring touchscreen OLED displays, a Dynamic Island, all encased in a significantly lighter design. While many rumors have suggested Apple could call the new laptops the “MacBook Ultra” name, it is now expected by most that the devices would still carry the ‌MacBook Pro‌ moniker.

Alongside the redesigned high-end touchscreen laptops, Apple is also expected to unveil M6 versions of the 14-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌ and iMac, as well as a new ‌iPad mini‌ that is expected to boast an A20 chip, an OLED display, a front-facing camera positioned for landscape video calls, as well as a redesigned speaker system, and a new chassis design with thinner bezels, and a water-resistant design.

As we reported last week, the new OLED iPad mini is expected to cost significantly more than the current model. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has said he is hearing that the new iPad mini will be “considerably more expensive,” floating a new price closer to the $799 mark, $200 more than the current iPad mini.
