As expected, Apple today seeded the first beta of its upcoming iOS 27.3 and iPadOS 27.3 updates to developers for testing. The initial beta comes one week after the release of iOS 27.2 to the public.
Registered developers can download the new beta software in the Software Update section of the Settings app. Just go to: “General” -> “Software Update” and select the iOS 27 developer beta.
iOS 27.3 adds a new Gym Strength workout to Apple Fitness+. The custom fitness option generates a four-week plan based on a user’s goals, experience, schedule, and equipment.
iOS 27.3 also expands the new StandBy features first introduced on the iPhone Duo to all iPhone models compatible with the update.
iOS 27.3 also introduces vertical tabs in Safari.
iOS 27 added a Siri tab to the Camera app on the iPhone 15 Pro and newer for convenient access to Visual Intelligence. Now, iPadOS 27.3 has expanded the feature to iPad Pro and iPad Air models with the M1 chip and newer, as well as the iPad mini models with the A17 Pro and A20 Pro chips.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver iPhone or iPad. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
