Apple today seeded the first betas of its upcoming iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 updates to developers for testing. The new betas come more than a month after Apple release iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 to the public.
There’s no word yet on what’s included in iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6, although the iOS 18.6 update may bring Apple Intelligence to China for the first time. However, it is not clear if this has been delayed because Apple is facing regulatory hurdles in China.
Once we find out more about what’s included, we’ll we’ll update you in this space.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver iPhone or iPad. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
WHile it appears Apple is releasing at least one more update to iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, it seeded the first betas of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 to developers last week.
