Apple Music for Android is now beta testing version 5.0.0, bringing new iOS 26-like features and design tweaks.
The update brings design tweaks like pill-shaped buttons throughout the app replacing the rounded rectangles, although the app didn’t receive a Liquid Glass redesign like the upcoming iOS 26 app, as the app has the same bottom bar and docked Now Playing controls as previously.
Shuffle, repeat, and autoplay at the top of your queue have been updated to receive the pill-shaped button. The Play and Shuffle buttons in albums also get the same treatment. Homescreen widgets remain the same.
As pointed out by 9to5Google, users can now “Pin Music to Your Library: Elevate your most played music to the top of Library for easy access.” Pin Song, Album, Playlist, or Artist are available in various overflow menus throughout the app.
The redesign splash screen also highlights:
- Lyrics Translation & Pronunciation: Understand the lyrics and sing along across languages.
- Replay in the App: Check out your month-by-month and year-end stats easily in-app.
