Apple’s iPhone 17 unveiling event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, according to internal documents from German cellular providers, reports iphone-ticker.de.
The new report jibes with a recent prediction by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who indicated Apple would hold its iPhone 17 press event the week of September 8. Gurman said September 9 or 10 are the most probable dates, matching the German carriers’ claim.
If Apple follows tradition, that means iPhone 17 pre-orders would begin on the Friday immediately following the announcement, September 12. The new handsets would then hot customers’ doorsteps and retail stores on Friday, September 19, in major markets such as the United States, China, Europe, and Japan.
Apple is expected to unveil several new iPhones at the event, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Apple is also expected to unveil the Apple Watch SE 3, Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and possibly AirPods Pro 3. Pre-order and availability dates should be the same dates as for the iPhone 17 lineup.
Since Apple traditionally sends out official press invitations one week before its events, confirmation of the above date could arrive as early as Tuesday, September 2.
