All New MacBooks in UK and EU Will be Sold Sans USB-C Charger

All New MacBooks in UK and EU Will be Sold Sans USB-C Charger

Apple’s new MacBook Neo, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro models to be sold in the UK and the EU will all NOT have a charger included in the box. Apple began selling MacBook models sans charger last year, with the base 14-inch MacBook Pro.

If you don’t already have a capable charger, you must purchase one separately during checkout or later.

All other countries, including the US, will find that a charger has been included in the box with the new Macs, at no extra charge. As noted by MacRumors, customers in the US will find Apple’s 20W USB-C Power Adapter (sold separately for $19) inside the MacBook Neo’s box, while the 16-inch MacBook Pro comes with Apple’s 140W USB-C Power Adapter (sold separately for $99).

Apple still includes a USB-C or MagSafe 3 charging cable with all new MacBooks sold worldwide.
