Apple today announced it is opening a new Apple Education Center in Hanoi to expand training and skill development programs for employees across its supply chain in Vietnam.
The center, the first of its kind in Vietnam, will begin offering classes this fall, and it will operate in partnership with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and will begin offering courses this fall. Apple and its partners already run almost 20 educational programs for supplier employees in Vietnam.
HUST was established in 1956, and is the first and largest technical university in Vietnam. The university is globally recognized as a leading university in engineering, scientific research, and technological development and has fostered innovation and technological progress in the region for decades.
Courses will be made up of both online and in-person learning, and will cover areas including manufacturing, robotics, and automation technology. Leadership and soft skills training aimed at helping workers advance in their current roles or move into new career paths will also be offered.

Professor Le Anh Tuan, Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, shared: “Collaborating with Apple to build the first Apple Education Center in Vietnam is strategically significant. As a leading technical university in the country, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has always been a pioneer in university-business cooperation to enhance the effectiveness of scientific research and train talent for cutting-edge technology sectors. With the Apple Education Center, we will work with Apple to promote training programs, with the goal of building and strengthening a high-quality technology workforce for Vietnam.
The new center is the latest initiative funded by Apple’s $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund, a global program the company launched in 2022. The fund also supports workplace rights education and health programs covering broader topics such as health and fitness programming, mental health, and disease screening.
