The new MacBook Air is powered by the M5 chip, featuring a 10-core CPU. Apple claims it is the world’s fastest CPU core. Configurations are available with up to 10 GPU cores with Neural Accelerators in each core, providing up to 4x faster performance for AI tasks than its M4-powered predecessor.
The new MacBook Air now comes standard with double the base storage of the previous model, with 512GB of storage space, using faster SSD technology, 2x faster read and write performance compared to the previous generation. Storage of up to 4TB is available.
The new laptop uses Apple’s N1 wireless chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 connectivity on the go. MacBook Air boasts the traditional thin, light, and durable aluminum design. It sports a Liquid Retina display, 12MP Center Stage camera, has up to 18 hours of battery life, a sound system with Spatial Audio, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports with support for up to two external displays.
