Apple has released the first Xcode 27.1 beta, which adds support for iPhone Duo app development.
Xcode 27.1 is available on Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 26.6 or later, and includes updated SDKs for the iPhone Duo, as well as a simulator that supports the device’s new poses and orientations.
In addition, Figma and Sketch design kits for iPhone Duo are now available from the Apple Design Resources.
Developers can also sign up for live, in-person workshops on how to optimize their app for the iPhone Duo. The four-day hands-on workshop allows developers to discover how to optimize their app for iPhone Duo and explore resizability for all screen sizes. Devs will learn to adapt their app’s navigation, controls, and layout for the foldable display, update their app for different poses, and apply design best practices. During the workshop, they’ll build and test their app using an iPhone Duo.
