Now You Can Hear F1 on Apple TV in Dolby Atmos

Apple today announced that F1 races on the Apple TV streaming service will now be broadcast with Dolby Atmos spatial sound, starting with the 2026 U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas this weekend from October 23 to October 25.

Starting with the United States Grand Prix, Dolby Atmos® will come to F1 on Apple TV, joining Dolby Vision® to give U.S. subscribers an even more immersive race-weekend experience. Dolby Atmos surrounds fans with the sounds of race weekend, from team radio and commentary to roaring engines, on-track battles, and pit-lane intensity.

Paired with Dolby Vision’s rich colors and lifelike clarity, the combination delivers exceptional sound and spectacular visuals that put fans at the heart of the action.
F1 in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos is available through the Apple TV app on supported Apple devices and compatible Dolby-enabled TVs, soundbars, and home theater systems.

The new feature joins an already impressive set of features designed to help F1 fans enjoy their favorite sport on Apple TV:

Apple TV is the U.S. home of F1 — delivering comprehensive coverage and analysis, powerful and customizable viewing features, and seamless integration across the Apple ecosystem to Apple TV subscribers.

United States Grand Prix coverage will feature English and Spanish commentary and access to up to 30 additional live feeds across all sessions, including Driver Tracker for a bird’s-eye view of the race, session timing and data feeds, a mixed onboard feed that automatically switches between cameras as the action unfolds, and a Podium feed that dynamically follows the drivers running in P1, P2, and P3 throughout.2

Viewers can also get closer to the action with Multiview, a feature that brings together up to four live feeds on a single screen for an even more immersive race-day experience. And now Multiview is available on supported smart TVs in addition to Apple devices and streaming players — so more fans than ever can follow every angle and won’t miss a moment.

Apple TV has been the exclusive home of F1 in the U.S. since March. All races are included with an Apple TV subscription at no extra cost.
