Self Checkout & In-Store Pickup Launch at All U.S. Apple Retail Stores

Self Checkout & In-Store Pickup Launch at All U.S. Apple Retail Stores

Alongside the release of an updated Apple Store app for iOS, Apple has launched a new EasyPay self-checkout program, enabling customers to use their iPhones to scan and purchase merchandise at Apple Retail Stores, as well as expanding their in-store pickup program to all Apple Retail Stores in the U.S.

As rumored in the past, the EasyPay self-checkout program requires the Apple Store iOS app, and allows users to scan barcodes for shelved merchandise in the store, and then pay using their Apple ID.

Apple has also rolled out in-store pickup for all online purchases across the United States, allowing customers to ship online orders to any Apple Retail Store for local pickup rather than having items delivered to the doorstep or to their workplace. In-stock itens can be picked up the same day, often within minutes, and custom orders will be available as quickly as they would ship to your home.

Apple originally launched their in-store pickup program in late October at Apple’s San Francisco stores, swiftly expanded the program to all of New York, and New York City, and the program is now available at all U.S. Apple Retail Stores.
