Move over, Android! A new report from comScore suggests that the iPad is now commanding a serious lead in mobile browser traffic, and now accounts for a whopping 97% of all US internet traffic from tablets!

comScore has produced the above chart to show the actual numbers, which are quite impressive! In addition to the 97% of US tablet traffic, the iPad also accounts for 89% of all global tablet traffic.

Additionally, In the U.S., comScore finds that 53% of non-computer device traffic comes from Apple devices: 23.5% from iPhone, 21.8% from iPad, and 7.8% from iPod touch. Android follows in second place with over 36% of the market, nearly all from smartphones.

What’s curious (or not) is that, while iPad competitors, and even so-called “iPad Killers” continue to flood the market at an astounding pace, they fail to engage their users in internet content much at all, and none have made a significant dent whatsoever in Apple’s market hold.
