Apple has issued an update for 15-inch MacBook Pro (Mid-2010 model), MacBook Pro Video Update 1.0, which addresses a video issue that could cause your screen to suddenly go back or cause your device to freeze when displaying video.

The update, which weighs in at 70.97 MB, is available now through Software Update on your Mac, or can be downloaded directly through Apple’s support site. The update can only be applied to machines running OS X Lion 10.7.2.

The problem was disclosed by Apple on October 13th, and although the update only applies to machines running Lion, Apple has stated that they will service any 15-inch MacBook Pro that displays the problem up to two years from the date of purchase.
