After reaching 85 million users at the end of January, iCloud has now broken the 100 million user mark, MacGeneration reports. CEO Tim Cook announced the news in his speech yesterday at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference.

Tim also re-emphasised that iCloud was a key part of Apple’s long term strategy and that it was the strategy to adopt over the next decade, calling it the successor to the ‘digital hub’ as Steve Jobs put it.

After a slightly unsure start, iCloud really seems to have taken off. 15 million new users in three weeks is pretty incredible, so it will be interesting to see where it goes from here. I think the cloud concept will skyrocket.
