This is the second year in a row Apple chose to shoot its holiday commercial in the formerly called Czech Republic, now dubbed Czechia. Last year’s “Frankie’s Holiday” also took place in the near-by region.
To showcase the absolute freedom you can experience while wearing AirPods, Apple targeted the historical streets of Prague. Seeing the perfectly snow-covered buildings with Czech signs throughout the commercial, displaying “Cukrarna Tety Emy” (meaning Aunty Ema’s Cakery) or “Horska Draha” (meaning Rollercoaster), we don’t have to ask ourselves twice why Apple keeps returning to Czechia.

As she walks down the street of snowy Prague, a female actress is checking her iPhone X. Suddenly, she bumps into her ideal dancing partner. That’s when a quick edit transitions to both of the dancers running away together and later working through a nicely performed routine. Both of them are having fun during these holiday times. This is when you realize that all of it was just imagination that happened within a flash of a moment. Everything amazing has to come to an end, and so does this short escape from reality. The ad leaves you with a great quote from Sam Smith’s song: “But real love is never a waste of time.”
