Its been anything but a quiet notion that Apple is expected to reveal a next-gen iPhone in the fall, with most rumors suggesting a release in September. A new report, however, indicates that the release will come in October – and include the iPad 3!

In an interesting twist, Kelly Janeth Mejia, a police officer who normally would recover a stolen iPad, reportedly stole one herself. Security cameras saw her remove it from someone else’s bin at a TSA security checkpoint. Her response to the accusation? “I found it!”

According to market analysts, Apple is looking to become more agressive with iPad 2 sales, and may ship 12-14 million iPads from July to September – an increase from the 7-9 million they shipped this quarter!

According to Craig Berger, an FBC Capital Markets analyst, the iPad 3 might be on its way to consumers as soon as early 2012, which casts doubts on previous rumors suggesting an iPad 3 release later this year.

According to a report from PhysOrg.com, Singapore will soon be issuing iPad 2′s to all their new armed forces and navy recruits. They expect to distribute about 8,000 iPads to their servicemen, which will run custom apps, and be used for training, as well as uploading video and images.

According to a recent report from iFans, Lulzec, a group that infamously pulled off a string of fifty high-profile server hacks, ended up releasing some AT&T internal documents that discuss AT&T’s LTE rollout – one particular document might have outed the LTE iPad.

It’s always puzzled my why Skype, which is popular and works well on the iPhone, wasn’t ported to the iPad very early on. Judging from this (seemingly authentic) promotional video, that may be about to change.
