Who would have guessed?
Initially the iPad 2 page indicated an estimated 3-5 business days for shipping iPad 2 units. That would have meant a knock on the door as early as Tuesday next week.
Now Apple have revised their shipping estimates and are saying that your newly purchased iPad 2 may not ship for another 2 to 3 weeks. Meaning that it could be as late as the 1st of April before before you get your grubby little hands on a white or black iPad 2.
Remember, this is the shipping date and not necessarily the delivery date. However, it isn’t uncommon for deliveries to arrive earlier than expected.
I guess we should have taken Apple’s advice and spent the last few days queuing outside one of the thousands of retailers that are stocking the iPad 2.
If you see a queue, JOIN IT IMMEDIATELY, and pray that it is a queue for an iPad 2 and not one to use a restroom.
