Apple has long claimed that a white iPhone 4 would be released in spring of this year. Yesterday, however, Apple gave another independant confirmation of this after Phil Schiiler apparently tweeted that the device was still on course for its second quarter launch.
Here’s the tweet directly, responding to a question about the white iPhone 4’s availability.
@airickanderson Hi Eric. The white iPhone will be available this spring (and it is a beauty!).
It’s pretty rare that Apple ever so directly makes such a claim, but Schiller apparently did. One thing that is unclear about the tweet, however, is whether Phil Schiler was indeed referring to the iPhone 4, or some other future model of the iPhone.
