White iPhone 4 Finally Arriving, Ships In April?

According to a report from 9to5Mac, Concord Security Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the white iPhone 4 will at last enter production this month, and will be due for an April 2011 release. The white iPhone 4 was originally to be aired alongside its black counterpart, but was famously delayed again and again.

Apparently only a GSM version will be released, with no information available on a possible CDMA variant, although it still remains possible.

This launch date seems dubious to us, even considering a previous spring launch time frame for the iPhone 4. Are people really going to be wiling to pay top dollar for a white iPhone 4 when the iPhone 5 looms just over the horizon, possibly also coming in white? Wouldn’t this seriously affect adoption of the iPhone 5 for those users? All in all, this report doesn’t make much sense to us. Take it as you will.
