Apple Cloud Service Discovered In Latest 10.7 Lion Build

It’s being mentioned more and more these days that Apple is developing a cloud-based service for iTunes. Now there appears to be some confirmation, with a french blog discovering something new under the code name “Castle” in OS X 10.7 Lion.

The folks over at Consomac.fr have found the following below in the latest build of OS X 10.7 Lion, appearing to refer to the new iCloud service – it also seems that the new service may be used for more than just music.

Considering that Apple recently purchased the domain name ‘icloud.com, for a reported $4.5 million, it looks like Apple’s new cloud base service will end up being called iCloud. It’s likely that some mention of this will me made at WWDC this year. As always, we’ll share information as we receive it.
