Silicon iPhone 5 Cases Appear At AT&T Retail Stores

Despite the fact that many are beginning to doubt that Apple will release a redesigned iPhone 5 due to a lack of evidence (such as the supposed part leaks that have been surfacing for iPhone 4S), cases for the iPhone 5 seem to be cropping up in retail databases left and right.

Yesterday it appeared that a number of Case-Mate iPhone 5 cases appeared in AT&T’s retail inventory system, and new reports suggest that silicon cases designed to hold a new redesigned iPhone 5 have already been appearing at AT&T retail stores in the U.S.

The above picture was provided to MacRumors by a supposed AT&T retail employee. The cases seem to agree with a rumor back in April suggesting the iPhone 5 would be thinner, lighter, and have a slightly tapered teardrop-style design.

This report follows a recent claim that the iPhone 4S has already appeared in Apple’s inventory system, suggesting that Apple may release two iPhone models at their October 4th media event after all.
