Google Releases Chrome 15 With Revamped ‘New Tab’ Page

Google Releases Chrome 15 With Revamped ‘New Tab’ Page

Google has just released version 15 of their popular Chrome browser for Windows, Mac & Linux. The new release adds a number of bug fixes and tweaks, as well as a redesigned New Tab page with significant changes to Google Apps & the Chrome Web Store.

The announcement was revealed in a post on the Official Google Blog earlier today, and changes to the New Tab page & Chrome Web Store have been detailed in a separate blog post.

Chrome 15’s revised New Tab page provides a streamlined design with a new layout that’s easier to navigate, leaving large app icons at center stage, which you can drag and group to your liking. You can also switch between the default Most Visited, Recently Closed or App sections, create a new section, or rename a section, and can swipe between different “home screens” by clicking the arrow icon, or by using standard OS X trackpad gestures.

There are several other changes to the New Tab page as well, such as a new, faster way of uninstalling web apps, an updated Chrome Web Store interface, and more. The update is available now from the official Chrome site. To learn more, visit the official Google Blog page, or check out the below embedded video to see the new changes in action:
