Mimbo: The Emotion Mimicking iPhone Robot You Can Build at Home

If you’re interested in robotics, but don’t have the time or money to build or purchase a robot, Instructables may have just what you’re looking for – Mimbo: an iPhone-based emotion-mimicking robot with a cardboard body!

Mimbo appears simple enough at first, made up mainly of two eyes and a mouth controlled by your iPhone’s display, but there’s more to Mimbo than meets the eye.

Mimbo uses a unique TouchOSC interface and some basic programming knowledge to work, but the end result is a neat little robot that mimics your facial expressions, the movement of your eyes and mouth, and more.

Check out the below video to see Mimbo in action, or head on over to Instructables to find out how to build one of your own!
