Study: 87% of iPhone 4S Users Still Use Siri on a Regular Basis

While Apple’s Siri digital assistant technology made a big splash at first, many have since begun to consider it as a mere novelty. According to a new study by Parks Associates (via MacRumors), however, the service still remains extremely popular, with 87% of iPhone 4S users using the feature at least once per month.

Although the service is still being used regularly by most iPhone 4S users, the study also shows that most users still aren’t using everything that Siri has to offer, with most people only using the service for making calls, looking up information, and sending text messages.

Playing music, scheduling meetings, and other features are less used, however. According to the study, up to 35% of iPhone 4S users have never used Siri for these purposes. Playing music and scheduling meetings also ranked extremely low in daily usage numbers.

Interestingly, the study also found that 55% of iPhone 4S users were “satisfied” with the service, while only 9% were “unsatisfied”, with the remainder falling somewhere in between the lines. Could this be because people aren’t using the service to its full extent, or don’t understand how to use all its features? Let us know your thoughts by sounding off in the comments!
