Adobe Unveils Creative Suite 6, New Creative Cloud Monthly Subscription Service

Adobe has officially announced the availability of their new Creative Suite 6 line of design software, and is now taking pre-orders. The suite features 14 different applications, which are available in various combinations through Adobe’s bundle programs.

Introducing Creative Suite 6

Adobe® Creative Suite® 6 software delivers a whole new experience for digital media creation, enabling you to work lightning fast and reach audiences wherever they may be. Now, for the first time, CS applications are also available through Adobe Creative Cloud™, giving you the flexibility to download and install them at any time. Plus, access additional applications, publishing services, and new products and features as they are released.

Pricing (for U.S. customers) is set as follows:

  • Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium: $1,899
  • Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard: $1,299
  • Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium: $1,899
  • Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection $2,599
  • Discounted upgrades from Creative Suite 5.5 are also available, as well as education discounts.

Even more interesting, however, is Adobe’s new Creative Cloud program, which offers full access to all Creative Suite 6 Master Collection products for just $49.99 per month ($29.99 for those upgrading from previous versions of Creative Suite). Creative Cloud also offers online storage and sharing tools. $50 per month is really a pretty fantastic deal when compared to the $2599 it would cost to purchase the suite outright – check out the below chart (click to expand) for the price comparison.

It looks like now is a better time than ever to upgrade to the last version of Adobe’s Creative Suite! The suite will be available on May 7, and pre-orders are open immediately.
