While Apple normally offer app-related promotions via their Facebook page, it has now started posting promotions directly in the App Store itself, with “Free App of the Week” and “Editors’ Choice” the two categories offered so far. Apple tweeted the promotion earlier today, with Cut the Rope: Experiments being the first app to go free.
In addition to those changes, the Staff Favourites section has now disappeared. The Editor’s Choice is also visible on the Mac App Store, with Cobook featuring. Unfortunately, there is no free app of the week on the Mac App Store.
