iPad To Come As Standard In 2013 Cadillac XTS

If you’re looking to splash out on a new upmarket car and love Apple products but haven’t yet got round to buying a new iPad, then you might want to consider the 2013 edition of the Cadillac XTS, which comes with an iPad as standard so you can learn about the car’s features of the car including the CUE entertainment system when you’re not in it.

It will come preloaded with OnStar RemoteLink, MyCadillac and an app that simulates the CUE user experience, so you can use it to learn about new car right out of the box. Wired calls the XTS ‘ the most important vehicle launch from Cadillac in the last few years’, so if you think about it it’s only fair that you get a few extras thrown in.

The iPad inclusion, according to Wired, is an attempt by Cadillac to ‘reassert itself as a world leader in luxury’, and I imagine that it will be apparent just from the price tag. While to hasn’t yet been announced, you can assume within reason that it will be at least $100,000 if not more, so if you like the look of it you might want to get saving. Still, awesome bonus for any Apple fan!

UPDATE: According to AutoBlog and the press release, it will start at only $44,995. That’s impressive and it’s even more of a reason to buy one! Cars are so much cheaper in the US than in Europe.
