How to: Convert Video For Use On iPhone, iPod, iPad, AppleTV, And Your Mac

Did you know that QuickTime Player has a built-in video converter? You can take any compatible QuickTime video file and convert it into the correct settings for playback on your iPhone, iPod, iPad, AppleTV, or your Mac.

To do this simply open any supported video content in QuickTime Player, then navigate to Share > iTunes from the Menu Bar.

You will then be presented with the following options:

Simply select the format you want and click Share. Whilst the export process is taking place, you will be shown a familiar progress bar as seen below:

Once this has been completed iTunes will open and your video will be presented in the Movies area of your iTunes library. You can then sync the content to the supported devices you have.
