App Store Hits 650,000 Apps, Over $5.5 Billion Paid to Developers

Apple provided a nice update on the state of the App Store during their Q3 2012 earnings conference call today, noting that there are now over 650,000 apps available for iOS devices, including over 255,000 apps optimized for the iPad.

The company also noted that they have paid out over $5.5 billion to developers, up from the $5 billion figure they announced at the WWDC keynote just over one month ago.
