How to Enable the New “Composers View” in iTunes 11.0.2

With the recent release of iTunes 11.0.2, Apple introduced a new Composers View to iTunes. There have been many misconceptions about the feature, however – some reports suggested it was merely a sort column in the iTunes music view. There’s actually more to it than that. In reality, it’s a new pane within iTunes, which lists all of the composers of your iTunes library music in a row, and can show all the music from any individual composer.

To enable the new Composers view (pictured above), open up your iTunes preferences by selecting iTunes from the menu bar, then clicking Preferences. Under the General tab, you’ll see a click box labaled Show Composers. Just click that, and you’re all set!

To access the new view, open the Music section in iTunes, and select Composers. That’s all there is to it! Enjoy!
