The Google Maps for iOS app received an update today, bumping the version number from 1.0 up to 1.1.
You can now search saved addresses from your contacts, choose between kilometers and miles for your preferred distance units, and search for local places by numerous categories, including: food, coffee, drinks, gas, post offices, hotels, grocery stores, pharmacies, movie theaters, malls, hospitals, atms, and attractions.
