Ad Shakeup? – Apple is Looking for New Digital Ad Agencies

Apple is reportedly planning on hiring as many as four new digital ad agencies, according to a new report from Ad Age. This, following evidence presented during the Apple v. Samsung trial that revealed Apple’s SVP of Marketing, Phil Schiller, was furious with Apple’s current advertising firm, Media Arts Lab, over what he felt was a lacking response to Samsung’s recent ad campaigns.

9to5Mac reports that the four companies being considered for addition to the company’s lineup include Huge, AKQA, Area 17, and Kettle. However, Apple already works with numerous smaller digital agencies, so this doesn’t mean Apple is looking to specifically replace Media Arts Lab.

Apple is reportedly taking a hard look at making changes to its current advertising plans, in an effort to better strike back at competitors such as Samsung.
