Apple has seeded the third OS X Yosemite public beta, alongside OS X Yosemite Developer Preview 8 for developers, build 14A361c. Both updates can be downloaded via the “Update” tab of the Mac App Store, and developers can also download Developer Preview 8 from the Mac Developer Center.
While it is unknown if the public beta and Developer Preview 8 are both the same version of Yosemite. At the very least, the public beta should likely include updates that were included in Developer Preview 7, including a new look for Dark Mode, tweaked icons, and the removal of “Software Update…” from the main Apple menu.
OS X Yosemite is expected to make its public debut sometime later this year, with the public release possibly following an October iPad event.
