Apple on Monday released iTunes 12.4 to the general public. The update brings a number of interface and navigation tweaks, as well as bug fixes. The update is available via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store, and it should also be available via download from the Apple website very soon.
Today’s update brings the much-rumored redesigned interface that is designed to be simpler to navigate, and reintroduces the sidebar for easier navigation. A revamped media picker is also part of the update.
It isn’t known at this time whether the update includes a fix for the bug that was causing personal music files to be deleted. While the issue is said to have affected only a small number of users, and Apple was unable to recreate the bug, the company had promised a fix.
