Apple Begins Automatically Crediting Customers Who Bought USB-C Accessories Before Price Cut

9to5Mac reports Apple has begun crediting customers who had purchased USB-C accessories just ahead of last weeks price cuts, and it is doing it without any effort required on the customer’s part.

Customers who purchased the accessories that now have reduced limited time pricing before the price drops are receiving automatic credits for the difference, as evidenced by the screenshot […] from a 9to5Mac reader who was credited for a USB-C to Lightning cable purchase.

“Thank you for your recent Apple Online Store purchase.

Apple recently lowered the price of the USB-C to Lightning Cable (1m) you ordered. We are pleased to inform you that we will provide you with a credit for the difference between the price you paid and the new, lower price.

Apple is offering limited time price cuts on their own USB-C accessories, as well as those third-party accessories it also sells, both online and in its stores.

The Cupertino firm is also offering discounts on the new LG UltraFine 4K and 5K displays that debuted alongside the new MacBook Pro models on October 27. That discount lasts through the end of the year, the same as the discount on USB-C accessories.
