Note: For the following to work, there are a few requirements:

  • Both iOS devices have to be running iOS 11
  • Both devices must have Bluetooth turned on
  • Both users have to be in each other’s contact list

When your friend wants to connect to your Wi-Fi network, all they need to do is simply go to: “Settings” -> “Wi-Fi” and tap on your Wi-Fi network’s name.

A dialog box will pop up on your unlocked iPhone or iPad (as seen above), asking if you want to share the Wi-Fi password for your network with the other party. Tap the “Share Password” button in the dialog box.

After a short delay, the other user’s iOS device will automatically fill in the password, and will join the network.
