Apple releases Four New ‘Just Text Them the Money’ Ads Promoting Apple Pay Cash

Apple releases Four New ‘Just Text Them the Money’ Ads Promoting Apple Pay Cash

If “Jerry McGuire” were produced in today’s world, Cuba Gooding’s “Rod Tidwell” character might not yell, “Show me the money!” Instead, he might tell Jerry to “Text me the money!” Apple on Thursday released four new 15-second ads promoting Apple Pay Cash under the tagline umbrella of “Just text them the money.”

The first ad shows how roommates can send their share of the rent via Apple Pay Cash in Messages.

The second ad spot involves a user losing a borrowed shirt, and sending a specific monetary amount via Apple Pay Cash. (Which doesn’t turn out to be enough!)

Ad three shows two friends discussing a sporting event and paying for a ticket purchase, despite the fact that the game is the same day as their friend’s wedding.

The fourth ad demonstrates a mother sending money after her offspring sends her a photo of an empty fridge.

Apple Pay Cash is a fairly recent addition to the Apple Pay range of abilities, launching back inn December alongside iOS 11.2. Apple Pay Cash is currently only available in the United States.
