Apple on Thursday announced the release of its updated 2018 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar lineup. The new Macs boast a load of new features, including the option of six-core eighth-generation Intel processors, True Tone display, up to 4TB of SSD storage, and up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM.
Apple also says the new MacBook Pro models boast quieter, third generation keyboards, but doesn’t mention if the new keyboards still suffer from the same issues MacBook Pro users have complained about with the previous generation of MacBook Pro keyboards.

The new models include Apple’s proprietary T2 chip, which first debuted in the iMac Pro. The T2 chip “delivers enhanced system security with support for secure boot and on-the-fly encrypted storage, and also brings ‘Hey Siri’ to the Mac for the first time.”
The new 13-inch and 15-inch models start at $1,799 and $2,399 respectively in the United States, and the new models are available starting today on Apple.com, and later this week at select Apple retail stores and authorized resellers.
The new MacBook Pro models are part of Apple’s Back to School promotion, available to college students, their parents, faculty and staff through the Apple Education Store. The promotion offers a pair of qualifying Beats headphones with the purchase of any eligible Mac or iPad Pro for college, as well as education pricing on Mac, iPad Pro, AppleCare, select accessories and more.
