Steve Jobs-Signed Pixar Animation Studios Poster Goes For $31,250 at Auction

An “incredibly scarce” Steve Jobs-signed Pixar Animation Studios’ poster for the 1995 film “Toy Story” sold for $31,250 in an auction after bidding closed on Thursday evening.

The poster measures in at 24-in by 36-in and Jobs’ signature is at the bottom near the Pixar logo. Jobs is said to have signed the poster sometime after the 1995 debut of “Toy Story.” The movie was Pixar’s first feature-length film, securing Pixar a solid reputation as a major animated film studio.

Pixar Animation 'Toy Story' Poster Signed by Steve Jobs up for Auction

Jobs signature appears just above the Pixar logo, towards the bottom of the poster. R.R. Auctions says this is only the second time a poster signed by Jobs has gone on sale. The first, a Networld Expo poster from 1992, was sold in 2017 for $19,640.

Jobs was a majority shareholder in Pixar. He was credited as an executive producer for the popular animated film. After Pixar was acquired by Disney, Jobs served as a member of the Disney board of directors. He was the company’s largest individual shareholder.
