Target to Offer ‘Apple Shopping Destinations’ In U.S. Retail Stores and Online

Discount retailer Target today announced that it will offer “Apple shopping destination” experiences in its U.S. retail stores, while also overhauling the Apple buying experience on the Target website.

Target describes the new Apple shopping destinations headed to its retail stores (Via 9to5Mac):

The new shopping destination offers an even easier way to shop for Apple products at Target by bringing these products and accessories together in one space that has been designed for guests to experience new products through demonstrations and knowledgeable Target Tech Consultants, who will receive specialized training from Apple.

The image above is a rendering from Target of the new Apple shopping experience coming to Target stores. The design similarities to Apple’s own retail stores are noticeable and include bright lighting and Apple-like product displays.

The new Apple shopping experience will roll out to 17 Target stores next month, including:

  • T2180    (Monticello, MN)
  • T0324    (San Jose, CA)

The retailer plans to expand the experience to more locations throughout the remainder of 2021.

In addition to a new in-store retail experience, Target is also revamping its online Apple shopping experience.  The new Apple storefront is live today on Target’s website, and it offers all of Apple’s products in a central location, providing details on pricing, warranties, and more.

In a statement to CNBC, Apple said that it looks forward to “continuing to work with Target on exciting new ways to serve customers in-store and online.”
