Samsung to Bring ‘Game Hub’ Game Streaming to New Smart TVs

Samsung on Monday announced its new lineup of Smart TVs as part of its CES 2022 announcements. Alongside the new TVs also came news that the electronics firm is bringing a new “Gaming Hub” to its TVs for the first time.

Samsung introduced a new “Gaming Hub” that will allow users to play games directly on their TVs, with no need for a gaming console or a set-top box like the Apple TV. Samsung’s new features were made possible by Google’s Stadia and Nvidia’s GeForce Now game streaming coming to the new version of Tizen, the operating system used in Samsung’s Smart TVs.

The Samsung Gaming Hub will empower players to discover and jump into the games they love faster through game streaming services. Players will have access to an extensive library of games through Samsung’s partnerships with industry leaders – NVIDIA GeForce Now, Stadia and Utomik – and that’s just the beginning.

Users will stream games instead of playing them on a local console or other devices. The service requires a good internet connection and a compatible controller.

Samsung Gaming Hub will be available on select 2022 Samsung Smart TVs.
