Apple Leaker Prosser: ‘Apple to Make Product Announcement Tomorrow’

Apple Leaker Prosser: ‘Apple to Make Product Announcement Tomorrow’

Apple will make its first product announcement of 2023 through a press release on its website tomorrow, Tuesday, January 17, according to Apple leaker Jon Prosser.

Observers are expecting several products expected in the near future, including updated MacBook Pros and Mac mini models.

Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman says Apple has plans for new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max chip options in early 2023.

Gurman says no major changes are expected for the next 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models beyond the upgraded chip options and possibly faster RAM. Both laptops were originally expected to launch in 2022, but reportedly faced delays internally.

An updated ‌Mac mini‌ is also expected to boast new ‌M2‌ chips, but it is expected to feature the same design as the current model.

MacRumors also says Apple will hold briefings later this week with members of the press and media on the new devices. Review embargoes for the new products are expected to be lifted next week.
