Bloomberg Report: Apple Considering Price Hike for iPhone 15 Pro Lineup

A new Bloomberg report says Apple is “considering” raising the price for its upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. The report, which cites the usual “unnamed people familiar with the matter,” claims that despite a projected decline in smartphone sales, Apple plans to increase its overall revenue by raising the price of the two iPhone 15 Pro models.

This is just the latest rumor we’ve heard indicating that Apple could hike the price of its upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models. A May rumor claimed that Apple would use pricing as a way to separate the non-Pro and Pro devices since the non-Pro models will likely gain a number of features – including Dynamic Island and a 48-mp camera.

In March, Jeff Pu, a tech analyst at Hong Kong-based investment firm Haitong International Securities, also said a price increase was on the way.

The iPhone 14 Pro and ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max start at $999 and $1,099, meaning that any price increase would put both high-end iPhone models north of $1,000 for the first time.

We’ll find out the official pricing of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro lineups in September when Apple is expected to officially debut its new handsets.
