Apple Productivity App Users Should Enjoy This AI Enhancement in macOS 27

There is no denying that Siri AI is the headliner when it comes to Apple’s new operating system, including iOS 27 and macOS 27 Golden Gate. However, users are still discovering several unheralded but just as appreciated changes.

Macworld’s Halyna Kubiv found that both Pages and Numbers now automatically suggest file names for documents she created.

When you create a new Numbers, Pages, or TextEdit document and fill it with content, the AI model on your Mac accesses it, analyzes the content, and suggests a suitable name for the file. For example, after a few minutes, my ordinary Numbers file became “User Engagement Metrics iOS 27.” On a Pages document, the app appropriately recommended the file name “iOS 27 Review” after a few minutes of writing.

More than one potential name is suggested, and you can either accept one of these or, type your own name instead. The file names automatically appear when you are a few moments in, and are also suggested when you save a new document for the first time, as seen above.

Meanwhile, 9to5Mac found the same thing to be true in Finder: right-clicking on an image or text file, for example, offers a suggested filename.

What about you? Have you discovered any small but handy AI-powered enhancements in the new OS version you’ve installed?
