Apple CEO Tim Cook joined other tech CEOs in taking to social media to congratulate U.S. President Trump on the day of his inauguration. Cook congratulated both President Trump and Vice President Vance and restated the company’s commitment to contributing to growth, innovation, and jobs in the United States.

Cook posted on X after attending Trump’s Presidential inauguration ceremony. His post echoes posts by other tech CEOs’, including Google’s Sundar Pichai and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella.

Apple did not deal much with President Trump during his first term, although the President did visit a U.S. Mac Pro assembly plant and was gifted a Mac Pro in 2019.
This time around, Apple CEO Cook has shown a willingness to work closer with Trump, attending meetings and dinners, and even contributed $1 million of his own money to Trump’s inauguration fund. Cook has also reportedly promised hevy investment in the U.S.
While everyone is making nice at the moment, it will be interesting to see what affect Trump’s proposed tariffs on foreign products, many of which Apple sells, will have on the relationship between tech firms and Trump during his second term.
