Apple today released new beta firmware for its AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 wireless earbuds. The new beta firmware has a build number of 7E5067b. The AirPods Pro 2 firmware is for both Lightning and USB-C charging cases.
Apple doesn’t offer a way to manually upgrade AirPods firmware, but it is generally installed over-the-air when the AirPods are in a charging case and connected via Bluetooth to an iOS device or Mac.
If you place the AirPods Pro 2 or AirPods 4 in their case, connect them to a power source, and then pair them to an iPhone or iPad, they should update after a short period of time.
