Apple on Tuesday announced the renewal of two popular Apple TV+ comedy series. The Studio and Trying will return for new seasons on the streaming service.
Trying
Trying follows a British couple, Nikki (BAFTA Award nominee Esther Smith) and Jason (SAG Award nominee Rafe Spall), who have no luck having their own child, so they decide to adopt a child.
All Nikki and Jason want is a baby—the one thing they can’t have. So they decide to adopt. With their dysfunctional friends, dramatic relatives, and chaotic lives, will the couple succeed in building the family of their dreams?
During season five, Nikki and Jason are forced to deal with Princess and Tyler’s biological mother Kat (Charlotte Riley), who has turned up at their doorstep. They then learn to handle the “whirlwind of chaos she brings into their settled family life.”

The BBC Studios-peoduced series has earned impressive average Rotten Tomatoes scores, with a score of 95% from critics and a 93% score from viewers.
An exact date for the fifth season premiere has not been announced.
The first four seasons of “Trying” are now available for streaming on Apple TV+.
The Studio
The Studio is a series offering a satirical behind the scenes look at the modern Hollywood’s film industry. Seth Rogen stars as Matt Remick, the recently-named head of Continental Studios. Apple has announced that the will be returning for a second season, although an exact second season premiere date has not yet been announced.
The Studio has also earned a favorable critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes (93%), although it hasn’t quite fared as well when it comes to its audience score, although it is a respectible score of 70%.

In addition to Rogen, “The Studio” boasts a star-studded ensemble cast, including Emmy, Emmy Award nominee Kathryn Hahn, SAG and Golden Globe Award winner Catherine O’Hara, Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders. Emmy Award-winning Bryan Cranston also makes guest appearances. The show also offers a star-studded list of cameos from Hollywood celebrities throughout the season.
Three episodes remain in the shows first season, and previously released episodes are still available for viewing on Apple TV+.
