Apple on Monday released tvOS 18.5, the latest version of the tvOS operating system for the Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD set top boxes.
The tvOS 18.5 update can be downloaded via the Settings app on the Apple TV by going to “System” -> “Software Update.” If you have automatic software updates turned on your Apple TV will be upgraded to tvOS 18.5 automatically.
No notable new features were found during the tvOS 18.5 beta testing period.
Apple has also released a new version of the HomePod Software 18.5 for the HomePod and HomePod mini. HomePod software is based on tvOS.

This update adds support for synchronizing Dolby Atmos playback to speakers over AirPlay or Bluetooth. To use, go to Settings > Video and Audio > Wireless Audio Sync.
